DAMACAPRONE VET® is a synthetic absorbable monofilament surgical suture made of 100% homopolymer Poly(Glycolic-co-Caprolactone) (PGCL) and sterilized with Ethylene Oxide.

• DAMACAPRONE VET® provides short-term wound support, retaining approximately 50% of its initial tensile strength after one week at 37°C.
• DAMACAPRONE VET® is a monofilament suture, providing smooth passage through tissue and eliminating the need for an additional coating.
• The suture is completely absorbed within approximately 80–120 days.
• DAMACAPRONE VET® is designed to produce minimal inflammatory reaction during the healing and absorption process.
• Its monofilament construction provides less memory compared with other synthetic absorbable sutures, supporting easier handling and knot placement.
• After degradation, it has less tendency to protrude or exit through the skin, making it particularly suitable for superficial wound closure.
• DAMACAPRONE VET® is recommended for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, particularly for superficial skin closure of surgical incisions in various anatomical sites and for use in emergency settings.
