It is a synthetic suture produced from polyester P-dioxanone. It is produced with the aim of closing the wounds for a longer time compared to other absorbable surgical threads. It has increased tensile strength in the biological environment and is absorbed very slowly by hydrolysis.
Like Damacryl rapid absorbable suture, it gives very little reaction. Therefore, it is beneficial in tissues where wound tensile strength is gained over a long period of time. Having a smooth structure makes sewing easier and reduces the possibility of tissue damage.

Care
